Job description

Location: Chicago,Illinois
Expected Start Date: Jul 24, 2026
Solutions Analyst
Ongoing Contract - Remote
Pay Rate: $48-$52
Job Description
Our client, a large healthcare analytics and payment integrity company, is looking for a Solutions Analyst to bridge business strategy and technical delivery. You'll work directly with product, operations, and R&D teams to turn business needs into clear requirements, process designs, and product decisions - making sure what gets built actually solves the right problem.
Responsibilities
  • Gather and document business requirements, turning them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
  • Map current and future-state processes (BPMN / swim lanes), identifying inefficiencies and automation opportunities.
  • Partner with product management on roadmap input, feature prioritization, and release readiness.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews) and support proof-of-concept evaluations.
  • Act as the voice of the business/client, validating that delivered solutions meet business intent.
  • Translate technical trade-offs and feasibility discussions into business-relevant terms for leadership.
Must Haves
  • 3+ years in business analysis, solution analysis, systems analysis, or product management.
  • Proven experience translating stakeholder input into requirements engineering teams can execute without back-and-forth.
  • Comfort with process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar) and BPMN or equivalent notation.
  • Agile/Scrum experience, including tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally.
  • Strong communicator who moves easily between executive summaries and detailed specs.
  • A forward-thinking, proactive learner - someone who sharpens their own skills without being asked.
Pluses
  • Healthcare payer experience (payment integrity, quality, or risk adjustment programs).
  • Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, EDI 837/835, ICD-10, CPT, or HCPCS.
  • Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, SAFe POPM, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Working SQL knowledge to validate assumptions independently.
  • Exposure to TOGAF or BIZBOK enterprise/business architecture frameworks.
  • Experience contributing to SaaS or platform product development at scale.
