Job Title: Azure Data Engineer - Python to ADF Migration (Contract)

Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Engineer for a temporary engagement to support the migration of legacy Python-based development into Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines. The candidate will play a key role in converting existing routines into scalable and maintainable ADF workflows while ensuring seamless integration with enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
  • Migrate and convert legacy Python-based data processing routines into Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines.
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
  • Work with data sources including SQL Server and Oracle databases (OCI).
  • Ensure data pipelines are optimized for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with development and data teams to understand existing workflows and translate them into ADF-based solutions.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for version control, deployment, and pipeline automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and pipeline execution.
  • Document migration processes and pipeline designs.

Required Skills
  • Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and orchestrating data pipelines.
  • Extensive experience with Python development for data processing and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server.
