Job description

The Grove's Communication Team ensures our messaging clearly reflects the heart and mission of the church. The App Manager & Copywriter owns written communication and digital messaging, with primary responsibility for The Grove App as a central engagement platform.
Reports to: Communication Director
Works with: Communication Team and Ministry Leaders
Works: Part-time, approximately 25 hours per week, hourly
WRITTEN COMMUNICATION & MESSAGING - 60%
  • Write and edit church-wide messaging for The Grove App.
  • Serve as lead editor for ministry communication content.
  • Draft and refine messaging for seasonal campaigns and high-level initiatives, such as the Love Offering.
  • Maintain tone, clarity, and theological alignment across all written content.
  • Segment audiences strategically within digital communication platforms.
DIGITAL PLATFORM MANAGEMENT - 30%
  • Execute and manage communication strategy within The Grove App.
  • Schedule and publish content in alignment with the church calendar.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and recommend adjustments.
  • Partner on routine website content updates.
OTHER - 10%
  • Attend trainings and conferences as needed.
  • Attend Communication Team meetings, staff devotions, all-staff meetings and required trainings.
