Job description

The TRIO Educational Talent Search Advisor/Coordinator will manage and provide comprehensive support services to middle and high school students across multiple partner schools, including Dover High School and Middle School, Somersworth High School and Middle School, Spaulding High School, and one additional middle school. Deliver targeted academic, career, and financial literacy guidance - including financial aid advising - to empower students in achieving educational milestones, including high school graduation and successful college enrollment and completion. Maintain accurate program records and prepare required data submissions and progress reports. Collaborate effectively with school personnel, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support student success.

Job Duties:

  • Recruit, select and provide services to 265 middle school and high school students in target area.

  • Provide educational, career, college, financial literacy and financial aid information.

  • Provide academic support and advising, individually and in groups.

  • Resolve problems of program participants using appropriate advocacy and assistance.

  • Collect data for program and USDE reports. maintain necessary records and files on program participants.

  • Work with school personnel and other professional organizations to increase knowledge and continually update and improve the quality of services to participants.

  • Attend seminars, staff meetings and workshops.

  • Plan, organize and implement college visits, job site tours and other experiences for program participants.

  • Establish contact with parents via workshops, meetings, email and telephone as needed.

  • Complete additional administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree, preferably in Education, Counseling or Human Services and two years experience working with middle school and high school students or Bachelors degree and four years of related experience.

  • Experience in using a variety of computer applications.

  • Attention to detail.

Compensation Pay Range:

$41,890.00 - $74,390.00
