Search Rater information

How much does a search quality rater make?

Search quality raters typically earn between $12 and $15 per hour, depending on the company and location. Compensation may also include bonuses or incentives based on performance, and the role often requires evaluating search results using specific guidelines and tools.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Search Rater, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Search Rater, you need strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and proficiency in web research, often supported by a high school diploma or higher education. Familiarity with search engines, rating platforms, and sometimes proprietary evaluation tools is typically required. Excellent written communication, time management, and the ability to follow detailed guidelines make someone stand out in this position. These skills are crucial for accurately assessing search engine results and ensuring the quality and relevance of online information.

What are Search Raters?

Search Raters are individuals who evaluate the quality and relevance of search engine results. They typically work remotely and are tasked with assessing whether search results meet specific guidelines and match user intent. Their feedback helps improve search algorithms, ensuring users get accurate and helpful information when they search online. Search Raters must follow detailed criteria set by the search engine and often review a variety of content, including web pages, images, and videos.

What are some common challenges Search Raters face, and how can they overcome them?

Search Raters often encounter challenges such as interpreting ambiguous queries, staying updated with evolving guidelines, and maintaining consistency across large volumes of ratings. To overcome these, it's important to regularly review training materials, participate in any available refresher courses, and refer to official documentation when in doubt. Engaging with support forums or team discussions can also help clarify uncertainties and improve accuracy while working independently.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A Search Rater can potentially earn around $10,000 per month through freelance or contract work, especially with extensive experience or high-volume projects. These roles typically require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with search engine algorithms, but they do not usually require a formal degree.

How to make 2000 a week working from home?

A Search Rater can potentially earn $2,000 weekly by working full-time hours, which may require high productivity, efficiency, and experience. Increasing earnings might involve taking on multiple projects, improving skills with relevant tools, or working for companies that offer higher pay rates for experienced raters. However, typical pay rates vary and reaching this income level consistently can be challenging without additional responsibilities or bonuses.

What does a search rater do?

A search rater evaluates the relevance and quality of search engine results by reviewing and rating web pages, images, or videos based on specific guidelines. This role often involves using specialized tools and requires attention to detail to improve search accuracy and user experience.

We've achieved impressive growth over the past few years, doubling our revenue year-over-year. Our flagship platform CupixWorks serves mid-market and enterprise clients, while our new SaaS product CupixVista is poised to democratize 3D reality capture for a broader market including architects, engineers, surveyors, and SMB construction companies.

We're seeking a Product Led Growth Marketing Manager to spearhead the commercial launch of CupixVista in 2026 and build our PLG engine from the ground up. This role will be instrumental in our expansion strategy, initially focusing on CupixVista's go-to-market and eventually scaling PLG methodologies across our entire customer portfolio. You'll work directly with our VPof Marketing and Product Owners and have significant autonomy to build and execute growth strategies that drive our ambitious customer acquisition goals.

  • Develop and execute PLG playbooks for onboarding, activation, and conversion optimization
  • Create and manage in-product marketing campaigns and user journey touchpoints
  • Design and implement free trial strategies to maximize user acquisition and conversion

Growth Operations & Analytics

  • Own the implementation and optimization of Customer.io for lifecycle marketing and user engagement
  • Leverage Amplitude for product analytics, user behavior analysis, and conversion funnel optimization
  • Build comprehensive dashboards and reporting systems to track PLG metrics and campaign performance
  • Conduct A/B tests across user journeys, messaging, and product experiences

Market Expansion & Customer Acquisition

  • Develop targeted acquisition strategies for architects, engineers, surveyors, and SMB construction markets
  • Create vertical-specific marketing campaigns and messaging frameworks
  • Build and optimize digital marketing funnels across multiple channels (SEM, content, social, partnerships)
  • Collaborate with product team to identify and resolve activation and adoption barriers

Strategic Growth Planning

  • Develop PLG strategies for eventual application to existing CupixWorks customer base
  • Create scalable processes and systems to support rapid user base growth
  • Partner with sales team to optimize product-qualified lead (PQL) handoff processes
  • Build competitive intelligence and market positioning strategies for new market segments
Key Metrics to Own
  • User Acquisition: Monthly active users, trial sign-ups, organic growth rate
  • Activation & Engagement: Time-to-value, feature adoption rates, user engagement scores
  • Conversion: Trial-to-paid conversion rates, upgrade rates, revenue per user
  • Retention: Churn rates, NPS scores, customer lifetime value
  • Growth Efficiency: Customer acquisition cost (CAC), LTV:CAC ratios, payback periods
  • Pipeline Contribution: Product-qualified leads generated, pipeline velocity, revenue attribution
Required Qualifications
  • 4-7 years of experience in growth marketing, preferably in B2B SaaS
  • Proven track record launching and scaling PLG initiatives with measurable results
  • Hands-on experience with Customer.io (or similar lifecycle marketing platforms),  Amplitude (or similar product analytics tools), HubSpot (or similar) and Salesforce.com
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools, and statistical analysis
  • Experience marketing to technical audiences (architects, engineers, construction professionals preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field
Essential Skills

Technical & Analytical

  • Advanced proficiency with marketing automation platforms and product analytics tools

  • Project management and ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in construction technology, AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction), or other reality capture related markets
  • Familiarity with 3D visualization or reality capture technologies
  • Experience scaling PLG programs
  • Background with trial-based SaaS business models
