POSITION OVERVIEW
The SEO Manager is a hands-on, results-driven search engine optimization professional responsible for developing and executing Haven's organic search strategy across all divisions and service markets. This is a full-time role that will own SEO end-to-end from technical site health and on-page optimization to local SEO, content strategy, and authority building with the goal of increasing organic visibility, qualified lead flow, and market presence across every Haven brand.
This role requires someone who is both strategic and executional someone who can build the plan, do the work, and report on results. You will work closely with the marketing team, division leadership, and IT team to drive measurable organic growth across a complex, multi-location business.
In addition to SEO responsibilities, this role owns Haven's website development and maintenance across all division sites. This includes managing site updates, building new pages and landing pages, coordinating brand rollouts and acquisitions, and ensuring all web properties meet both technical SEO standards and an exceptional user experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable moving fluidly between SEO strategy and hands-on website work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical SEO
  • Conduct regular technical SEO audits and resolve issues including crawlability, indexing, site speed, Core Web Vitals, schema markup, and mobile optimization
  • Monitor and maintain Google Search Console and resolve crawl errors, manual actions, and indexing issues across all Haven properties
  • Implement technical SEO recommendations directly within the CMS and coordinate with external developers only for back-end or infrastructure-level changes that exceed CMS access
  • Manage XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and canonical tag structures across all division sites

Website Development & Management
  • Build, maintain, and update Haven's division websites using WordPress (or applicable CMS)
  • Develop new service pages, location pages, and landing pages in coordination with marketing and division leadership
  • Coordinate and execute website changes related to brand rollouts, acquisitions, and new division integrations
  • Ensure all web properties are properly structured, mobile-optimized, and load efficiently
  • Manage web redirects, URL structures, and site migrations with SEO best practices maintained throughout
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all website-related requests from across the organization

On-Page & Content SEO
  • Optimize existing service pages, location pages, and landing pages for target keywords and search intent
  • Develop and execute a content calendar targeting high-value informational and transactional keywords relevant to Haven's service lines
  • Write and execute the creation of SEO-optimized content including service pages, blog posts, FAQs, and location pages
  • Maintain and enforce brand-consistent SEO standards across all division websites

Local SEO
  • Manage and optimize Google Business Profiles for all Haven locations and divisions
  • Build and maintain local citation consistency (NAP) across directories, aggregators, and local data platforms
  • Develop and execute local landing page strategies to capture service area search demand
  • Support reputation management efforts including review generation strategy and response protocols

Link Building & Authority
  • Develop and execute a white-hat link building strategy to grow domain authority across Haven properties
  • Identify and pursue local and industry-relevant link opportunities including partnerships, sponsorships, and PR-driven placements
  • Monitor and disavow toxic backlinks as needed

Reporting & Analysis
  • Track, analyze, and report on organic performance including keyword rankings, traffic, leads, and conversions using Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO platform tools
  • Deliver regular performance reports to marketing leadership with clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Monitor competitor SEO activity and identify opportunities and threats
  • Establish KPIs and benchmarks for SEO performance across all divisions

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on SEO experience, with a proven track record of driving organic growth
  • Deep expertise in technical SEO, on-page optimization, local SEO, web development and link building
  • Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, and/or Sitebulb
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Google Business Profile
  • Experience managing SEO across multi-location or multi-brand websites
  • Working proficiency in HTML and CSS able to make direct edits to page code, templates, and theme files without developer assistance
  • Excellent written communication skills able to write and edit SEO content directly
  • Proficiency with WordPress including page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or similar ability to build and edit pages without relying on a developer
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS sufficient to make direct edits to web pages, templates, and theme files
  • Familiarity with website performance tools including Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or similar
  • Experience managing multiple websites simultaneously
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously

Preferred
  • Experience in home services, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other field service industries
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan or similar field service management platforms
  • Experience with WordPress or other common CMS platforms
  • Google Analytics and/or Google Ads certifications
  • Experience with website migration projects including URL mapping, redirect management, and post-migration audits
  • Basic familiarity with JavaScript and its impact on SEO and page rendering
  • Basic familiarity with website security, backup systems, and hosting management
  • Graphic design skills or familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for basic asset creation
  • Experience working with or managing paid search campaigns (helpful for cross-channel coordination)
