A person in Vernon, NJ is looking for a Self – Directed Employee (SDE) with experience as an LPN to assist them and be a companion for a variety of fun activities that include, but are not limited to getting out into the local community, being out in nature, and being part of a book club. The other part of this role would be to assist the person with Everyday tasks such as; assisting with medication, using their GI tube, and assisting with the bathroom.

The Ideal Self – Directed Employee (SDE) is to report to the individual and would be someone who is community minded and understands person centered supports. The Self – Directed Employee (SDE) would also have experience as an LPN, which is a must for this position. The SDE should also be comfortable lifting the individual as part of their role. If you’re looking for a fun and overall relaxed part time position where you can make a huge difference in someone’s life, this may be the position you’ve been looking for.

*****MUST HAVE LPN EXPERIENCE***** 

Schedule of Services:

Twice a week as decided between the Individual and SDE 9am-12pm

Pay rate:   per hour

Qualifications:

Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description

Must be an LPN or have worked as one

Must be person centered minded

Staff need to be open minded and come with a positive attitude

Staff must remember that you are working for a person and not a label

Must be 18 years old or older

Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a car

Must have valid driver's license and good driving record

Must be willing to have a background check

Must be willing to take a drug screening
