Job description

Shape the future of secure communications for the world's most critical missions. As a Principal Technical Program Manager for SCS TEMEG, you'll define the strategy and lead customers and cross-functional teams to solve problems of high ambiguity and high impact.
Secure Connections Services (SCS), Tactical Edge Mission Engineering Group (TEMEG) designs, develops, and delivers emerging edge capabilities to enable the use of AWS services.
You own the strategic roadmap and drive cross-organizational alignment on priorities and delivery. You leverage deep technical expertise and executive-level stakeholder management to deliver solutions from concept through customer adoption

You bring proven experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and apply that expertise to commercial and government customers. You are data- and metric-driven, and relentlessly focused on performance in resource-constrained environments.
- Solve challenging problems that will revolutionize satellite connectivity in the cloud
- Work for a recognized leader in supporting space customers with cloud computing
- Have direct impact on hundreds, possibly thousands, of users of the AWS secure connections ecosystem.

This role will sit in our new headquarters in Northern Virginia, where Amazon will invest $2.5 billion dollars, occupy 4 million square feet of energy efficient office space, and create at least 25,000 new full-time jobs. This position requires that the candidate selected must be a US Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Serve as the primary executive interface with customers, translating mission-critical requirements into product roadmap priorities for engineering teams
- Drive cross-organizational alignment across product, engineering, sales, and partner teams to deliver integrated solutions
- Work across the product, program, engineering, hardware, software, and infrastructure teams to manage requirements, scope, and delivery of worldwide AWS security features and services
- Assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, and make difficult trade-off decisions while managing cost and schedule to drive adoption goals and meet our customer commitments.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities

You will represent program status to senior leadership. Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence teams' decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences and changing the way customers leverage AWS services.

A day in the life
In this role, you will own the planning and execution of a new service managing cross-team and cross-org development and delivery, participating in architecture decisions, design reviews, and represent our service to Senior and Executive leadership. You will work with software developers and networking engineers along with product managers and other oranizations to deliver new services and new features create the best in class solutions for our customers worldwide!
