Job description

Job Title: Senior IT Program Manager (Agile Delivery Lead)
Role Overview
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior IT Program Manager to lead the execution and continuous improvement of a high-priority technology program. In this role, you will act as the primary facilitator for a large-scale delivery "train," overseeing 5+ agile teams and 50+ professionals. You will be responsible for the end-to-end program lifecycle-including financial forecasting, risk management, and timeline ownership-while coaching Scrum Masters and teams in Lean-Agile best practices. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader who can navigate complex inter-team dependencies and deliver high-impact results within scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Program Execution & Planning: Oversee synchronized planning cycles and program execution. Take full ownership of master timelines, budgets, and financial forecasting for the delivery stream.
• Agile Leadership & Coaching: Provide indirect supervision and coaching to a team of Scrum Masters. Drive the adoption of Lean-Agile team metrics and actively support internal Communities of Practice.
• Risk & Bottleneck Management: Identify and escalate impediments while proactively managing program-level risks. Perform impact analysis on plan changes to avoid bottlenecks and ensure consistent delivery.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for stakeholders, communicating program health, status, and key performance metrics. Facilitate resolution for cross-team dependencies.
• Continuous Improvement: Deploy Lean-Agile metrics to analyze team performance and drive structural improvements across the program.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree; Information Technology or a technical field is strongly preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years as a Senior Project or Program Manager.
• 2+ years as a Scrum Master and/or Scaled Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE).
• 2+ years managing or supporting 5 or more Scrum Masters simultaneously.
• Certifications: * Required: PMP and either CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PMI-ACP.
• Preferred: SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification.
• Skills: * Proven success in building partnerships across organizational lines.
• Strong innovation and facilitation skills with the ability to manage 50+ team members.
• Advanced business presentation and written communication skills. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected Veterans
