Scrum Master Position

We are seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join our team! As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for ensuring that development teams adhere to scrum framework values and agile practices. You will mentor and motivate teams to improve processes, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes, and eliminate team impediments. Additionally, you will manage project scope and timelines, coordinate sprints and daily stand-ups, coach team members in Agile frameworks, and facilitate internal and external communication.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage project scope and timeline, coordinating sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks and facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Serve as the point of contact for external communications (e.g., customers or stakeholders).
  • Work with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests.
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to ensure effective team performance.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Plan and organize demos and product/system testing.
  • Guide development teams to higher Scrum maturity and foster a productive environment where team members take ownership of the product.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Applicants must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • All positions are 100% on site. You must be able to commute to the Northern Virginia area.
  • Possess a valid Scrum Master certification
  • Experience in a Scrum Master role within software development.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and Scrum techniques.
  • Knowledge of Scrum artifacts (e.g., definition of done, user stories, backlog refinement) and other Agile frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and servant leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Program Management, or a related field
Desired Qualifications and Skills
  • Additional certifications in Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Agile Coach, SAFe Agilist).
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
