This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level engineering initiatives that support millions of customers and drive digital transformation across a high-volume retail environment.

Job Description
The Development Engineer will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing code that delivers functionality aligned with broader business strategies and objectives. Working within an agile framework, this individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build and implement features from the product backlog, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet business needs.
In this role, you will:
  • Develop and test code to deliver functionality that meets overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Build the work needed to implement features from the product backlog.
  • Size user stories and contribute to sprint planning.
  • Unit test code, create automated test scripts, and execute all other testing-related tasks.
  • Test deliverables against user story acceptance criteria.
  • Execute necessary project documentation.
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure features meet business needs.
  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation.
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and other cross-functional teams to support project success.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in an engineering role.
  • 1-3 years of experience participating in agile development.
  • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Kafka, and SQL.
  • Experience providing 1st line support.
  • Strong adaptive problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
