We are looking for a freelance/contractor Technical Writer to produce high-quality documentation.
 Responsibilities:Â
 Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirementsÂ
 Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunitiesÂ
 Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audienceÂ
 Write easy-to-understand online help, developer guides and end user manualsÂ
 Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applicationsÂ
 Review, manage and edit release notes for new product features with each release cycleÂ
Qualifications
Requirements:
 Proven working experience writing API documentationÂ
Experience writing simple shell scripts for REST API ExamplesÂ
Experience with UNIX, Python or Javascript is desiredÂ
Working knowledge of JSON and XMLÂ
Experience with Swagger, a plus.Â
Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detailÂ
Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and picturesÂ
Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
