Job description

Job Title: Senior EUC Engineer - Application Packaging
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior EUC Engineer to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of our software application portfolio. You will be the primary technical lead for packaging, deploying, and maintaining applications across our enterprise Windows workstation and server fleet. This role bridges the gap between traditional on-premise infrastructure and modern cloud-managed endpoints.
This is a technical, hands-on role for an engineer who treats software deployment as a "code" problem. You will design installation scripts, manage automated deployment pipelines, and ensure that our application environment is secure, compliant, and performant. If you are a PowerShell expert who enjoys the technical challenge of building reliable deployment workflows and thrives in an agile, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Application Packaging & Delivery
• Deployment Engineering: Create, test, and manage complex application packages (native, Win32, and custom installers). Develop clean, efficient installation scripts using PowerShell to automate custom configurations and deployments.
• Modern Management: Oversee the delivery of applications via modern endpoint management platforms. Manage cloud-native deployment strategies and ensure smooth transitions for remote workstations.
• Compliance & Standardization: Develop and manage configuration baselines to ensure software settings remain consistent across the environment. Own the process for removing outdated or unsupported software.
Lifecycle & Quality Assurance
• Testing & Pilots: Define testing criteria, identify pilot groups, and validate deployment results. Document evaluation findings to ensure zero-impact rollouts.
• Optimization: Build and manage the long-term update schedule for software. Monitor for add-ins, extensions, and custom configurations that keep our Microsoft 365 and browser environments optimized.
• Operational Excellence: Work closely with application stewards and IT stakeholders to determine custom requirements. Participate in change management processes to ensure all deployments meet internal quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS/MIS, or related field (or equivalent technical experience).
• Experience Baseline: 3-5 years of professional experience in software packaging and deployment within a large-scale enterprise.
• Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting. Hands-on experience with MSI/MST authoring tools and professional deployment platforms.
• Cloud Readiness: Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and modern endpoint management architectures.
Preferred Attributes
• Strong knowledge of change management and ITIL-based operational environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot "package-level" errors (identifying why a deployment failed based on logs).
• Exceptional time management and the ability to juggle multiple deployment streams in a fast-paced environment.
