• 10+ years of hand-on experience in Functional Testing, including test design, execution, defect management, and test governance.
• Strong Utility domain knowledge preferably AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) including meter provisioning, head-end systems, MDM, network management, and field integration workflows.
• Goo to have hands-on experience with AMI implementation testing, including integration with upstream/downstream utility systems (CIS, OMS, DMS, Billing, GIS, SCADA).
• High-level understanding of automation frameworks and experience collaborating with automation teams to define automation strategy, identify candidate test cases, and review automated scripts.
• Experience in integration testing, E2E testing, system testing, and UAT support for large utility transformation programs.
• Good understanding of SQLs and APIs such as Mule.
• Strong knowledge of test management tools such as Jira or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
• Ability to lead distributed teams and drive testing deliverables independently. Experience in debugging, root cause analysis, and triaging flaky tests.
• Lead the end to end functional testing for AMI implementation projects, ensuring full coverage across meter deployment, head-end systems, MDM, field operations, and integration layers.
• Define Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Test Metrics for AMI programs and coordinate sign offs with stakeholders.
• Oversee E2E testing across all interfacing systems, including CIS, OMS, DMS/SCADA, Billing, and external vendor applications.
• Collaborate with automation teams to identify automation opportunities, review scripts, and ensure automation supports regression and release cycles.
• Drive requirements analysis, test case design, traceability, and ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
• Manage test execution, defect triage, prioritization, and coordination with development and business teams.
• Ensure data preparation, environment readiness, and validation of test environments for all phases of testing.
• Prepare daily/weekly test status reports, dashboards, and executive level summaries for leadership teams.
• Ensure timely delivery of Test Closure Reports, Test Summary Reports, and formal Test Sign offs.
• Work closely with business testers, vendors, integration partners, and technical teams to ensure seamless testing and issue resolution.
