• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.
• Create personalized treatment plans that align with the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client, ensuring an evidence-based approach.
• Utilize effective therapeutic methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to support clients in their journey towards mental wellness.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to promote ongoing recovery.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and medical professionals to offer integrated and comprehensive care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorders to continually enhance treatment strategies.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with ethical guidelines and legal standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs, actively working to reduce the stigma associated with seeking help.

As an LMFT with Scripps Care Center, you will primarily serve a diverse population dealing with various mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and adjustment issues. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the emotional and psychological well-being of individuals and families, enabling them to gain the tools necessary for successful coping and recovery.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude towards the experiences of clients.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage a diverse caseload.

• Experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities specific to mood disorders.
• A background in addiction counseling or experience addressing issues surrounding substance abuse is a plus.
• Experience in a remote work setting, showcasing adaptability and self-management skills.
