Overview:
We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented and dependable Medical Scribe in Middleton, WI to join our team at a leading Behavioral Health Hospital. This position plays a critical role in supporting clinical providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time, improving provider efficiency and ensuring accurate and timely medical records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently document patient encounters, including psychiatric assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Prepare clients to see the doctor via telehealth platform. 
  • Input data directly into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system under the supervision of licensed providers.
  • Review and organize patient charts before and after visits to ensure completeness and compliance.
  • Assist with tracking and entering orders, test results, and other relevant medical data.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support workflow efficiency and communication.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in healthcare preferred.
  • Prior experience as a scribe or in a medical or behavioral health setting is required.
  • Must be able to report to facility five (5) days per week.
  • Must be willing to work one weekend per month. 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and psychiatric diagnoses is a plus.
  • Proficient in typing and navigating EMR systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced, confidential healthcare environment.
