Position Summary
The Field Service Representative (FSR) is responsible for effectively utilizing company resources to manage field operations from pre-installation preparation through the completion of the homeowner's warranty period. This role oversees production installations, conducts thorough Quality Assurance (QA) walkthroughs, and manages customer service inspections and repair activities. The FSR also performs Service Technician duties as required to ensure quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and timely resolution. As a frontline representative of the company, the FSR is expected to embody Primera's core values of Create Shareholder Value, Personal Accountability, Brand Ambassador, Solutions Driven, and Relationship Centered in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct pre-installation job site inspections to confirm areas are clear, prepared, and ready for installation crews in alignment with project schedules.
    • Proactively communicate potential obstacles or site issues to the builder superintendent to ensure timely resolution and uninterrupted project progress.
  • Monitor installation progress and coordinate any necessary actions to support successful job completion, including submitting shortage reports and field measurements as required.
  • Manage and track installation timelines to minimize delays, errors, and rework on job sites.
  • Perform QA walkthroughs and submit detailed QA Forms to Job Runner within 48 hours of installation completion.
    • QA documentation must identify any missing cabinet parts, outstanding items requiring completion prior to Close of Escrow (COE), and be shared with the builder superintendent.
  • Ensure all work complies with builder specifications and work order documentation, obtaining written documentation or change orders for all field adjustments.
  • Perform all Service Technician duties as needed in addition to FSR responsibilities, including but not limited to:
    • Cabinets: Responding to warranty calls; repairing trade damage; installing late or missing parts; installing scribe, cabinets, and crown molding; adjusting and touching up cabinets; and picking up and delivering parts to installers as needed to complete installations.
    • Flooring: Responding to warranty calls; repairing trade damage; installing late or missing materials; repairing tile, carpet, and wood; and performing grout and caulking touch-ups as required.
  • Maintain company vehicle in compliance with fleet guidelines, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum three years' experience performing leadership functions
  • Industry experience in homebuilding, construction, or similar fields required
  • Proven ability to supervise and execute company policies and procedures required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, Word, Excel) strongly preferred

Work Environment
  • This position is primarily based on construction job sites with frequent travel between different projects across the valley. With exposure to construction environments, dust, noise, and various weather conditions are common.
  • Occasional flexibility required for early morning, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements
This position involves lifting heavy materials and slabs (up to 100 pounds with assistance), bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time. PPE and adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of lifting equipment, is required.
