Description
The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication is pleased to invite applications for an Adjunct Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor in the area of Screenwriting in the Department of Radio, Television, Film at Hofstra University.
Candidate should be able to teach the fundamental practices of writing for film and television in both short and feature length formats or narrative series.
In addition, the candidate should have a body of creative work in at least one of these writing practices.
The ideal candidate will:
โ€ข Have professional experience in writing for film and/or television.
โ€ข Have some teaching and/or screenwriting workshop experience.
โ€ข Have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusive in an educational environment.
Qualifications
โ€ข Master's degree in screenwriting, filmmaking, or closely related field.

$1,422-$1,794 per credit

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
