ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS:
  • Provide guidance to individuals through administering manual exercises, non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, assisting in physical activities, and daily living activities
  • Implementphysical therapy treatment plans under the direction of the physical therapistby helping improve individuals' mobility, manage pain, and regainfunctionality
  • Assistantphysical therapist by evaluating individuals' progress during treatments
  • Assistindividuals with devices such as crutches, canes, prostheses, wheelchairs, etc
  • Providessupport, counsel, advice, training and education for individuals, family,caregivers and other professionals on the importance of being consistent with therapy treatment plans
  • Efficientlyassembles extensive documentation on individuals' progress, care services andtherapy adjustments, when necessary, that aligns with standard medicaldocumentation and facility protocol/procedures documentation
  • Collaborativelywork with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Mustdisplay excellent active listening skills, critical thinking skills,verbal/written communication skills, time management skills
  • Mustdisplay compassion, integrity and respect to all individuals
  • Supportingadditional responsibilities and/or tasks as needed for the department

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Physically be able to lift, transfer, and assist patients while providing therapy interventions during physical activity
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25lbs, including assisting individuals when needed
  • Ability to visually be able to perform job duties, including examining individuals and reading information from printed sources and computer screens

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must hold an active and in good standing Wisconsin Physical Therapy Assistant License and CPR Certification
