Position Summary

Scot Forge is seeking a skilled Machine Rebuild / Repair Technician to support the maintenance, rebuilding, repair, and installation of heavy industrial machinery . This role is critical to ensuring our manufacturing operations remain safe, reliable, and efficient.

Essential Responsibilities

As a Machine Rebuild / Repair Technician, you will:

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of heavy industrial machinery and machine tools.
  • Interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Test, disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or defective components.
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and modifications.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and environmental guidelines, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal practices..

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Electrical schematics
    • Hydraulic schematics
    • Mechanical blueprints
  • Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This position requires working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Candidates must be able to:

  • Work in varying temperatures ranging from hot production areas to cooler environments.
  • Frequently bend, kneel, crouch, and work in awkward positions.
  • Safely perform physically demanding maintenance work throughout the shift.
