Job Description

As a member of our amazing Game Day staff, you are a critical part of our fans' experience at the stadium. Our fans are very important to us and believe that each should be treated with extraordinary courtesy and respect. Our Game Day staff is comprised of many different positions, all integral in ensuring the Baysox experience is great for every fan.

Positions Include:

  • Usher
    • Ushers are responsible for being a welcoming presence to fans by directing them to the seats and different areas of the stadium. Ushers are also responsible ensuring the seats in their assigned sections are wiped down and functional for all fans.
  • Ticket Takers
    • Ticket Takers will be responsible for operating the turnstiles, scanning every ticket that comes through the front gates, upholding Prince George's Stadium entrance policies, as well as answering any questions a fan may have about the location of their seats or any other general questions.
  • Bag Checker
    • Back Checkers will be responsible for checking the bags of our fans as they enter the stadium ensuring that each fan is adhering to our entrance policies here at Prince Georges Stadium, as well as answering any general question a fan may have about the venue.
  • Parking Crew
    • The Parking Crew is responsible for ensuring a smooth ingress and egress of the stadium, directing traffic in an organized manner to achieve this goal.
  • Kids Park Attendants
    • Kids Park Attendants are responsible for the operation and tear down of the Kid's Park every event, operators will need to adhere to various rules/guidelines of each attraction to ensure the safety of every child.
  • Fan Assistance
    • Fan Assistance is the main information center for the stadium, responsible for answering fan questions, as well as serving as a point of pickup for season ticket holder gifts.
  • Concierge
    • The Concierge is responsible for welcoming every fan to the suite level as well as checking their ticket in order to direct each fan to their designated room.
  • Front Desk
    • The Front Desk is responsible for answering all phone calls within their shift and answering any fan questions that may be asked. Will assist fans on gamedays with any issues/specific needs as they arise.
  • Bat Boys
    • Bat Boys assist the Home Clubhouse Manager in prepping/tearing down the dugout for game days, as well as serving as a bat retriever and ball runner during the game.
  • Grounds Crew
    • The Grounds Crew assists the Head Groundskeeper in preparing the playing field for the games, performing the in-game drag, as well as doing any work necessary to the field post-game as well.
  • Ticket Sellers
    • Ticket Sellers are responsible for facilitating all sales of tickets at Prince George's Stadium on game days, as well as solving any and all ticket issues by utilizing ticketing software and answering any questions a fan may have.
  • Gift Shop Attendant
    • Gift Shop Attendants are responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, as well as assisting any fan that may have a question.
  • Camera Operatorย 
    • The Camera Operator is responsible for filming in various roles during Baysox games, including filming gameplay, fans and in-game entertainment.ย 
  • MiLB Stringerย 
    • The Stringer is responsible for operating the Gameday system, inputting the results of every pitch during Baysox games.ย  They must be knowledgeable about scoring a baseball game and maintain contact with MiLB support throughout the game.ย 
  • Official Scorerย 
    • The Scorer is responsible for making decisions during games on how plays are scored.ย  They must also inform the rest of the press box staff when decisions have been made, or changes to the game have occurred (i.e. pitching changes, substitutions, ejections, etc.)ย 
  • Pitch Clock Operatorย 
    • The Pitch Clock Operator is responsible for running the pitch clock and knowing which situations to use different pitch clock times while being in communication with the umpires for when the clock needs to be reset or there are any special circumstances. Must be a liaison between the umpires and other press box staff.ย 
  • Scoreboard Operatorย 
    • The Scoreboard Operator is responsible for displaying the linescore on the scoreboard during games.ย  They must track each pitch and always keep up with the count and outs, and keep correct score of runs, hits, and errors for each team.ย 
  • MiLB Broadcast Directorย 
    • The MILB Broadcast Director is responsible for the broadcast feed that is streaming online.ย  They must remain focused on the game while switching between camera feeds to ensure a clean broadcast and update the scorebug during games.ย 
  • Stadium Music Operatorย 
    • The Music Operator is responsible for all music and sounds played during Baysox games.ย  They must remain engaged with the game, ensuring that the correct music is played at times for player walkup music, promotions, and in-game events.ย  They must keep a balance of professionalism and fun to ensure that the teams needs are met, while also boosting the in-stadium entertainment level and maintaining a fun, family atmosphere at Baysox games.ย 
  • Public Address Announcerย 
    • The PA Announcer is responsible for announcements made throughout the stadium.ย  They must keep a balance of professionalism and fun to both meet expectations for the team and its' sponsors, while also working to inform and keep the fans engaged with the product.ย 
  • On Field Emceeย 
    • The Emcee is responsible for running promotions before and after games and in between innings.ย  They must keep a balance of professionalism and fun in order to ensure that timelines are met with completing promotions, but also entertaining the fans and maintaining a fun atmosphere between innings.ย
