About the Role:

Program Management Office (PMO) function is responsible for defining and maintaining standards for all project management within the organization. The PMO standardizes and introduces economies of repetition in the execution of projects across the organization, developing organizational assets and templates. The PMO is the source of documentation, guidance, and metrics on best practices of project management and execution.

The Program Manager will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring all projects within the technical development cycle. The Program Manager ensures that the projects are executed according to Program Management Institute Standards and is responsible for management, reporting and follow up on project and activity benefit tracking.

The ideal candidate should be a proactive individual with strong communication skills and a team player. He or she should have an experience of at least 4-7 years in Program Management.

Role Objective:

  • Program Manager is responsible for formulating, organizing and monitoring inter-connected projects.
  • Report to the Head of PMO on overall project progress on a regular basis and timely escalation of issues.
  • Excellent business acumen with ability to strategize and implement program initiatives.
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance.
  • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring program goals are reached.
  • Responsible for communication and support to project delivery teams.
  • Delivery of project start up support inclusive of detailed project plans, project financials, document repository set up and other key tasks that support an effective project initiation.
  • Track and report on the various statuses and ensure that reports and dashboards are updated in accordance with the reporting timetable.
  • Monitor and update plans in accordance with the key milestones.
  • Maintain a resource forecast in liaison with Implementation and Technology teams.
  • Maintain the project risks, issues, decisions and actions log.
  • Manage the change control process and associate logs and documentation.
  • Ensure that the various systems are updated with the required project information including financials, planning, resources.
  • He/ She needs to contribute to enhancement of Project Management framework.
  • Drive Best Practice Sharing, actively get involved and support in New Projects / solutions.

Job Requirement:

  • Candidate must possess a bachelorโ€™s degree. Masters or Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 10 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Minimum 4 years should be in IT Project Management, preferably HCM/Payroll related projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
  • Required Skill(s): IT Project management, Quality framework, Good working knowledge of MS office (MS Word, MS Visio, MS Power Point and MS Excel).
  • ITIL, Project Management Professional (PMP) certified preferred.
  • A self-starter and ability to work under pressure with tight schedules/timelines and with positive and proactive attitude to anticipate challenges and resolves issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skill.
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, and a responsible team-player.
  • Ability to communicate effectively- both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing complex environment and learn new concepts/software technologies as needs arise.
