Job description

Daily Hours: 7
Work Year: 2026-2027
Supervisor: School Principal
Minimum Requirements: 
Certified by NYS as a Family and Consumer Science Teacher or 
at least 4 years of industry experience within a designated career field related to Family and Consumer Science including the Culinary Industry
Desired Qualifications: 
Desired Qualifications: 
Certified in ProStart Curriculum - Preferred
ServSafe management trained certified instructor and proctor - Preferred
Experienced in designing and managing restaurants or other food oriented establishments.

Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
Design and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction that adheres to state curriculum and standards using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students;
Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment where all students feel supported and challenged;
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and evidence based interventions as appropriate;
Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and colleagues regarding student progress and potential areas for improvement;
Stay current with best practices in Family and Consumer Science education and professional development opportunities;
All other duties as assigned.
All teachers who are new to Greece will be required to attend two teacher induction days in August.
Additionally, all Teachers will be required to to work one Teacher day in the Month of August.
