Position Title: Program Manager for Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
Location:Miami-Dade College Several Campus In-office with occasional travel to other sites
Job Type:Full-Time
Salary Range:$185,000.00 - $215,000.00 annually

Reports To:This position reports functionally Client Representative for functional/project oversight and CES Company Representative employment, performance management, and contractual administration.

Position Overview

As a member of our Program Management team, the Program Manager will oversee the planning, design, construction and commission of new school buildings and related facilities projects as well as campus upgrades and building repairs. This role involves coordinating with the Owner and various stakeholders and providing oversight of Project Managers and Construction Managers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. The Program Manager will manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, while providing regular updates to senior management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of school building and facilities projects from inception to completion.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Ensure projects adhere to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Provide regular updates and detailed reports to senior management, highlighting progress, budget status, and any key issues.
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders to ensure project transparency and address concerns promptly.
  • Oversee contract management, including vendor selection, negotiations, and adherence to agreed terms.
  • Ensure proper documentation of project milestones and maintain accurate records for future reference.
  • Perform additional related duties as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as an Owner's Representative or Program Management (required).
  • Over 5 years of experience leading large-scale projects, with a preference for work within schools and higher educational institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Dedicated to delivering superior results and surpassing client expectations.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Preferably holds a Professional Engineering License in the State of Florida and/or PMP.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
