Position Summary:
This role's primary focus is to manage High Value Projects (HVPs) and identify opportunities to develop and deploy technology solutions, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), within a logistics enterprise. The role also facilitates specific Lean Programs and training as required.
Results include time savings given back to our Operations and Enabling Groups to increase work-life balance and make PL an employer of choice, increasing retention at all levels. The time saved is re-invested into Associate Development, Customer Service Value, Safety Focus and further Continuous Improvement efforts. Finally, time savings will decrease corporate and management overhead cost growth over time in relation to revenue growth. Projects directly impact pre-tax profit through cost savings, customer retention and growth through demonstrating customer value and innovation.
Location: Irving, TX (preferred)
Other Locations: Green Hills, PA/Duluth, GA/Beachwood, OH or any other major Penske office areas.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management and Solution Development Experience at an Enterprise Level.
- Demonstrated Experience in Logistics and/or IT Project Management (preferred)
- Foundational Understanding/Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Concepts (preferred)
- EAC Program Management - Steering Team Meeting Facilitation, Project Tracking and Governance, KPIs, Awards and Recognitions
- EAC and High Value Projects - Enterprise Level Projects and Technology Projects.
- Business Process Automation Projects - Process Mapping, ROI Assessments, Solution Proposal Presentations, Process Design / Business Requirement Documents, Implementation Project Management
- Lean Programs and Training Deployed to Enabling Groups (Finance, Safety, HR, etc).
- Other projects/tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Technology, and/or Data Science.
- Project Management Professional (strongly preferred)
- Lean Certification (required within 2 years of role)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Manager in Quality, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, technology, Engineering, Enabling Group or Operations.
- Strong written / oral communication to all organizational levels.
- Developing, mentoring and coaching others.
- Developing technical solutions and the supporting documentation (Process Design Documents / Business Requirement Documents)
- Can think big and is highly open and flexible to new ideas and information.
- Strong Automation/AI Technology Acumen
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
