Qualifications

R&D manager must have:

Minimum BS in a scientific field (preferably nutrition), MSc or RD preferred. 

Ability to analyze problems, develop accurate data, interpret data and communicate data to a non-technical audience. 

Attention to detail and accuracy, technical proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.

  Ability to manage complex projects in a fast paced environment. 


Flexibility to work with diverse cultural backgrounds, personalities,
work styles within various levels of a matrixed organization and with
cross functional teams. 

Strong communication skills and ability to present nutrition materials to technical and non-technical audiences


R&D Lab manager:


  • Communicate
    nutritional science information in a user ready format for the
    non-technical functions in the BU e.g. marketing, insights, shopper, PR,
    sales and legal. 
  • Assist in building position statements that
    can be jointly supported by legal and nutrition, which will provide the
    business some opportunities for differentiation.
