Role Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist Coordinator , you will lead daily laboratory operations while ensuring high-quality diagnostic services, regulatory compliance, and team development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and leading daily laboratory operations, including scheduling and supervisory responsibilities

  • Prioritizing, delegating, and overseeing all phases of the laboratory process

  • Ensuring adherence to all laboratory policies, procedures, and quality standards

  • Overseeing quality assurance and quality management programs and addressing process deviations

  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and system-wide requirements, including proficiency testing

  • Leading staff education, training, and competency validation

  • Serving as a mentor, trainer, and resource for laboratory team members

  • Assisting with data collection and monitoring to support laboratory performance goals

  • Supporting operational leadership responsibilities in the absence of a manager or supervisor

Qualifications

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Science OR a related Clinical Science field

Experience

Required:

  • 4 Years of Clinical laboratory experience

Licensure / Certification

Required:

  • State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
