The Computer Science Teacher will help expand Cold Springโs Kโ8 computer science program by providing engaging instruction that develops studentsโ skills in coding, computational thinking, and problem solving. As our second computer science teacher, this role will primarily support Kโ3 instruction and serve as our Manager of Technology, working directly with our Coordinator of Technology. Indiana Teaching License โ Elementary or Secondary Teaching License with appropriate STEM, technology, or computer science endorsement preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ยท Plan and deliver engaging computer science instruction for students in grades Kโ8, with primary responsibility for Kโ3 and middle school classes.
ยท Develop studentsโ understanding of foundational computer science concepts, including computational thinking, coding, digital citizenship, and problem solving.
ยท Design lessons that are developmentally appropriate and engaging for a wide range of grade levels.
ยท Evaluate student work and assessment data to inform instruction and support student learning and skill development.
ยท Maintain accurate records of student progress and complete required documentation and reporting.
ยท Use a variety of instructional strategies, digital tools, and hands-on activities to promote student engagement and learning.
ยท Support computer science-related extracurricular opportunities such as robotics, coding clubs, or technology-based competitions when appropriate.
ยท Support the development of Cold Springโs STEM program through innovative computer science instruction and project-based learning opportunities.
ยท Collaborate with the computer science team and other instructional staff to ensure alignment and growth of the Kโ8 computer science program.
ยท Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through coding, problem solving, and technology-based projects.
ยท Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and responsible technology use.
