What You’ll Do in This Role
  • Design and develop backend services and data processing pipelines using modern configuration management and software engineering practices
  • Build and maintain APIs and services supporting data ingest, processing, storage, and delivery
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements to existing systems and platforms
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and provide technical support for software and application issues
  • Recommend and implement improvements to system performance, reliability, and maintainability
  • Collaborate with other engineers on the team to sustain and advance the organization's technical capabilities
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work/military experience
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience building APIs and services using REST and related web technologies
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with Linux (preferred) or Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity with Git or other source control tools
  • Clear communication skills; comfortable working in a small, collaborative team
Additional Strengths That Stand Out
  • Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or MapReduce
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • DevOps experience building and deploying infrastructure with tools like Ansible, Jenkins, or CloudFormation
  • Experience with ElasticSearch, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, or NiFi
  • Prior experience supporting IC or DoD mission environments
