Job description

POSITION: Elementary Technology/STEM Teacher - Comstock Elementary School 
SALARY:   

Dependent on years of teaching experience and certification
Salary starting at $43,905.00
WILL HONOR 100% OF PRIOR FULL-TIME TEACHING YEARS

  • Eligible school for Teacher Loan Forgiveness
  • Merit Pay, Sick Day Buyback Program, and Tuition Reimbursement per CEA Contract


AVAILABLE:   2026-2027 School Year
CERTIFICATION: Valid Michigan Elementary Teaching Certificate with Technology (NP) Endorsement 
QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Experience integrating the National Educational Technology Standards (NETS) into required instruction
  • Ability to create and teach technology lessons with high levels of student engagement and interest
  • Familiar with online assessments and typing programs
  • Experience using IXL and Accelerated Reader
  • Ability to create positive relationships with students and parents
  • Possess organizational skills necessary to work and collaborate in multiple school buildings
  • Effectively demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and staff


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Teach Technology classes to students in grades K-5
  • Teach typing and prepare students for online assessments required by the state and district
  • Teach students to create and present using computer programs used in educational and professional settings
  • Integrate STEM lessons into instruction/curriculum
  • Work with staff to create curriculum that aligns and supports each grade level
  • Provide structured classroom management
  • Participate in curriculum, school improvement and staff committees
  • Willing to be trained in Leader in Me building-wide initiative
  • Work with Leader in Me administrators, leadership  teams, and staff to ensure "Lighthouse" quality results
  • Champion and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Other duties as assigned by administration
  • Perform "Essential Job Functions" as specified
