Job description

Westwood Children’s School is seeking an Early Childhood Program Director

Company Overview

The Westwood Children’s School was founded in 1987, providing 52 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with a nurturing, caring and supportive environment. We are open year-round, Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 5:45pm and all children attend 5 days/week. We are licensed by the state of  Massachusetts and are proudly accredited by NAEYC. 

Position 

Our current director is relocating, and we will be looking for a new Program Director to begin in the summer of 2026. 

     Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements 

• Bachelor’s degree  (Masters in Education preferred)

• Director 1 EEC Certified  

• Highly proficient with all Microsoft Office applications  

• Familiar with or ability to learn Constant Contact 

• At least three years experience a Director  at a licensed and accredited program

• Extremely detailed and accuracy-oriented 

• Exceptional work ethic 

• Ability to create a warm, welcoming and positive culture 

• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to work well with others, collaborate and remain calm under pressure • Team-oriented player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently • Flexibility and willingness to assist teachers when needed 

• Comfortable receiving direction and providing others with direction • Warm, engaging personality with a focus on quality care for children • Self-motivated 

Compensation and Benefits 

This is a full-time salaried position. Competitive salary, commensurate  with expertise and experience.
