Title: Extended School Care Program Assistant
Reports To: Extended School Care Site Director
Takes Direction From: Extended School Care Group Supervisor and Site Director
Schedule/Calendar: 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. and/or 3:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Salary: $17.21/hr.
Summary: The Extended School Care Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Site Director in the preparation and implementation of daily activities, ensuring a safe environment, and monitoring the location and activity of the children in the group at all times.
Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for assisting the site director/group supervisor with the preparation and implementation of daily program activities.
  • Oversees the safety and location of all children in the group at all times.
  • Ensures proper clean up and maintenance of toys, materials, and equipment daily.
  • Follows all PA Department of Human Services child care guidelines.
Education Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Experience working with children preferred
Certifications:
  • Pediatric First Aid and CPR
