Job description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 Adhere to the rules and regulations outlined in the Department of Human Services handbook for
Child Day Care Centers and Keystone STARS.
 Ensure proper ratios are maintained at all times. Keep a consistent headcount on all children
present at site; communicate changes with all other staff
 Consistently demonstrate positive interaction with all children; talk to them and treat them with
dignity and respect
 Help children to develop a positive self-esteem and sense of self-worth
 Coordinate and assist in the implementation of daily activities and routines.
 Maintain all supplies, equipment and materials; inform the Site Director when new/additional
supplies are needed.
 Ensure the environment is safe, clean, sanitary, organized, and conducive to learning and child
development.
 Communicate with parents daily regarding their child’s progress, activities, incidents, concerns,
etc.
 Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, absences, incidents, and emergency information
on each child
 Attend staff meetings
 Other duties as assigned
