American Refrigeration Supplies, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of A/C and heating equipment, accessories and supplies and has been serving our customers for 85 years. We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Branch Operation Associate to join our team at our San Diego Branch. This position is full-time Monday - Friday (typically 8:00 am - 5:00 pm)

About the position:

As a Branch Operation Associate you will be responsible for providing exceptional support in ARS branch operations and excellent customer service to ARS customers to the best of our ability while also supporting branch members in operational excellence. 

  • Deliver HVAC/Refrigeration parts to customers with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of all trucks
  • Follow supervisors’ directions to ensure following correct routes and delivery instructions
  • Complete daily Vehicle Maintenance Inspections
  • Verify vehicle has sufficient fuel, use gas card for fueling as needed
  • Report any order issues or shorts to Manager
  • Quality control on all items going out for delivery:
    • Inspection of all inventory ensuring accuracy of pick list and serial numbers
  • Assist in loading customer orders when needed.
  • Work with team to become fully proficient in P21 functions such as Shipping/Receiving, Order Entry, Transfers and warranties **may perform Counter functions up to an avg. of 50% per pay period as needed
  • Help support counter sales by writing, pulling, loading, and taking order to completion.
  • Work with branch manager to ensure warehouse is in proper order by completing stocking, ensuring products in correct locations and following ARS marketing standards.
  • Ensure warehouse is in proper order (clean, debris picked up, forklifts in proper charging area etc.) before the end of each shift
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and counter areas during your turn in cleaning rotation.
  • Safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks (after training)
  • Follow the PWM’s (Preferred Work Methods) for Branch
  • Wears proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to travel and cover other branches as needed (mileage reimbursement)
  • Other duties as assigned
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma is required.
  • 1-year warehouse operations experience and customer service experience with knowledge of local driving routes.  
  • Employee must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Clean Motor Vehicle/Driving Record
  • Must be able to communicate well with others.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Computer knowledge including MS Office applications.
  • Basic typing/10-key skills.
  • Must be a minimum of 20 years old
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Keep and maintain positive relationships with customers
