Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000
Contract Days: 230 days

POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs managerial and supervisory duties operating a district-wide food service operation. Collaborates with others in the school, school district, and community to operate a successful district nutrition program which complies with all state and federal regulations and district policy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education experience, with academic major in specific areas; OR Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors; OR Bachelor's degree in any academic major, and at least two years of relevant school nutrition programs experience; OR Associate's degree or equivalent educational experience, with academic major in specific areas, and at least two years of relevant school nutrition programs experience. (Related majors include food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, or culinary arts.
  2. Knowledge of proper methods of planning, preparing, cooking, serving foods, and proper procedures involved in managing a large school lunch program with the federal and state forms as required.
  3. Knowledge of how to requisition proper food amounts and following the established purchasing procedures.
  4. Knowledge of state and federal child nutrition rules and regulations, including the free and reduced lunch process.
  5. Must possess valid Food Handler's Certificate.
  6. Must possess valid Oregon Driver's License and be able to maintain insurable status for automotive and liability coverage.
