Position Summary
The School Nutrition Assistant supports the overall success of the school nutrition program by preparing,
cooking, serving, and storing food in accordance with established institutional procedures and Health
Department requirements. This position ensures compliance with meal accountability procedures, including
cashiering, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE) preferred.
  • Strong integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for
    Educators.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and consistently present at work.
  • Ability to work in environments with extreme cold or heat.
