Job Overview
The Library Assistant performs varied tasks to support library materials processing and circulation, assist students and staff and support the school librarian.
Roles and Responsibilities
The following information is intended to describe the overall nature and scope of the work being performed. This is not a comprehensive listing of all responsibilities or tasks; work may differ and other work may be assigned when deemed appropriate.
  • Provides clerical support to the school librarian
  • Supports and assists the school librarian in encouraging library use
  • Assists in processing library materials and circulating resources
  • Assists students and staff in locating materials and utilizing resources and technologies
