Position Overview 

  • Provide professional nursing care and support to students in a school setting, addressing routine and acute health needs.
  • Assess student health concerns, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and maintain accurate health records.
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers as needed.
  • Promote student health and safety while maintaining confidentiality and following applicable school health policies.

Qualifications 

  • Associate's or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Nursing 
  • Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Completed NYSED fingerprinting (or ability to obtain before starting)
  • School nursing or pediatric experience preferred
