Job Description

Certified Safe School Officer who performs a wide variety of safety and security duties specifically related to the school environment. This position is focused on maintaining a safe, orderly, and supportive campus through proactive security monitoring, emergency response, conflict prevention, and professional engagement with students, staff, and visitors. Work involves responsibility for rapid and effective performance of specialized duties under normal and emergency conditions and may include exposure to stressful situations that require sound judgment, discretion, and calm decision-making. The incumbent must be able to work independently, follow established policies and procedures, and respond appropriately to school safety concerns. Work is performed under general supervision and reviewed through observation, communication, and evaluation of results.

Applicants are eligible for a one-time hiring bonus of . This bonus will be distributed as follows:

$1,000 on January 30th

$2,000 on June 15th

This position offers an hourly rate of $26.00 and requires a highly motivated professional committed to school safety, positive student interaction, and strong collaboration with school leadership.

Position Duties

  • Provide visible security presence throughout the school campus, school grounds, and adjacent areas as assigned.
  • Monitor and enforce established security protocols and safety procedures.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies, critical incidents, and safetyrelated concerns.
  • Work to prevent conflict and support a positive school environment through professional interaction and deescalation techniques.
  • Build respectful and constructive relationships with students, school staff, administrators, and visitors.
  • Assist with safety drills, emergency preparedness activities, and related training sessions.
  • Prepare accurate reports, incident documentation, and other required records in a timely manner.
  • Support school safety initiatives and contribute to a culture of awareness, prevention, and accountability.
  • Maintain readiness to respond to campus incidents using sound judgment and professional conduct.
  • Follow all applicable school policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned in support of school operations and campus safety.
  • Qualifications
  • Valid D License, G License, DL, and CCW
  • Guardian Safe School Officer Training Certificate (Aaron Feis)
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Training or background in law enforcement, security, or military service preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in law enforcement, security, emergency response, or corrections
  • Strong firearms and tactical training proficiency
  • Working knowledge of emergency response systems and protocols
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Strong communication, problemsolving, and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods indoors and outdoors
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must pass drug screening, psychological evaluation, and background check
  • Must own a firearm, Level 3 Holster, duty belt and 5 magazines.
