Job description

We are seeking a Certified Safe School Officer dedicated to school safety and student well-being. The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and enforcing security protocols
  • Responding to emergencies and critical incidents
  • Preventing conflict and building positive relationships
  • Conducting safety drills and training sessions
  • Preparing official reports and documentation
  • Required Licenses:
  • Licenses D, G, DL, and CCW
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Required Certifications:
  • Guardian Safe School Officer Training Certificate (Aaron Feis)
  • IMPORTANT: Please DO NOT apply unless you hold one of the following certifications: D License, G License, CCW and Coach Aaron Feis Guardian Program

    Educational Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Training in law enforcement, security, or military service
  • Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in law enforcement, security, emergency response, or corrections
  • Advanced proficiency in firearms and tactical training
  • Intermediate knowledge of emergency response systems and protocols
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
  • Able to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors
  • Core Competencies:
  • Crisis management and problem solving
  • Effective communication and relationship building
  • Knowledge of school policies and law enforcement practices
  • Experience:
  • Military service or Private/correctional security.: 3 years (Required)
  • Other Important Requirements:
  • Must pass a drug test (s.112.0455), psychological evaluation (Chapter 490, Department of Law Enforcement), and background check
  • Must own a firearm, Level 3 retention duty belt, and at least 5 magazines
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Full availability for inperson work is required
