The key differences lie in the work environment, required credentials, and employer type.

What disqualifies you from being a school bus driver?

School bus driver candidates are typically disqualified if they have a history of serious traffic violations, a criminal record involving violence or drug offenses, or a poor driving record. Additionally, they must pass background checks, drug tests, and a medical exam, and must hold a valid commercial driver's license with passenger and school bus endorsements. Failure to meet these requirements or having certain health issues can disqualify applicants from becoming school bus drivers.

Can you make a living off of being a school bus driver?

School bus drivers can make a living depending on factors such as location, experience, and hours worked. Full-time drivers often earn a salary or hourly wage that can support a household, especially with benefits like health insurance.
