Position Information:
This role fills in for secretarial/clerical vacancies across various school sites and school district offices. Maintains regular and consistent attendance. Work must be provided onsite and in person. Must maintain physical presence at assigned location(s).

  • The Substitute Office Support employee will provide essential clerical and secretarial assistance for the District by performing receptionist duties, maintain student records, and greeting visitors. You will also monitor the student health room, provide minor first aid, and assist with emergency drills or facility coordination as needed.
  • The Substitute Office Manager will coordinate essential secretarial and clerical operations within a school's central office while providing vital support to administrators, staff, students, and the community. The substitute will coordinate a wide range of responsibilities including student registration, financial record-keeping, and office staff guidance to ensure efficient building operations.
     

Guest Position: This role involves various shift times and operates on an on-call basis depending on vacancies. Work hours, including start and end times, are subject to change based on district needs. Please note that substitute employment is 'at-will,' and there is no guaranteed minimum of hours or days per week.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hourly Rate: $21.85 - $25.25 (Depending on assignment type)

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent and, one of the following:

  • Hold a post-secondary or advanced degree; or
  • Earned a minimum of ten (10) relevant college credits; or
  • Have three (3) years of relevant experience.
     

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to sit for prolonged periods while working at a desk or computer. The role frequently requires standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms to maintain files and office tasks. Required to use fine hand and finger movements, specifically for frequent keyboarding and operating office machinery. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, when handling school supplies, boxes, or mail items. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus for computer work and student supervision.
