SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:

Perform a variety of machine assembly operations working from engineering drawings and specifications.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a variety of machine assembly functions utilizing hand tools (drills, grinders, band saws, sockets/wrenches) from engineering drawings following documented procedures.
  • Fabricate parts, set-up and adjust machinery.
  • Work as a team in assembly operations
  • Assure routine inspection functions are performed following documented procedures.
  • Collaborate with Electrical and Engineering personnel to troubleshoot equipment, make changes, etc.
  • Complete electronic labor reporting
  • Advise and assist other assemblers in assembly operations and procedures.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the assembly team and its function.
  • Perform other related duties as required by management. 


Requirements

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: 
  •  High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 
  • One to three years' experience in similar industry/custom machine-building manufacturing experience desired.
  • Skills: 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to operate hand tools. 
  • Ability to read assembly drawings.
