Summary:

The Production Associate is responsible to perform all packing functions within the department including hand packing, assembly of kits and quality inspections.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in stopping and correcting unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Demonstrate daily evidence of continuous improvement efforts of 5S and autonomous maintenance.
  • Treat quality as a key pillar of our success by always Doing the right thing for our customers.
  • Solve problems daily by working together as an engaged team member
  • Unpackage and prepare raw material for use in production
  • Retrieve and prepare work in process parts for the next production process
  • Prepare finished products for inventory through light assembly, cleaning, cutting, finishing, labeling, taping, stacking and, inspecting and recording information
  • Start and stop machines, inspect product and make small adjustments as needed
  • Able to recognize when equipment is not working correctly and communicate with technicians for resolution
  • Track output, scrap and other key information as required
  • Clean and inspection equipment as needed
  • Help in the relief of breaks as needed
  • Maintain records and documentation
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Sound communication skills and excellent problem-solving ability
  • Possess skills required to improvise and adapt where needed

Working Conditions:

This position requires walking, sitting, reaching or standing to a significant degree and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently lifting less than 10.
