Job description

Responsibilities
Job Summary
This position is responsible for developing, publishing and maintaining schedules for internal remote technologists to ensure consistent operational coverage across all remote operations. The scheduler will work closely with remote operations leadership, technologists, imaging center managers and other key stakeholders to coordinate staffing needs and address scheduling conflicts. The scheduler must be available to respond to unexpected staff changes, including same day call-outs and quickly identify appropriate coverage to minimize workflow disruptions. Schedules will be created at least one month in advance and the scheduler will follow up with technologists to ensure availability and scheduling information are submitted accurately and on time.
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday & Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00am - 3:00pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates, publishes, and maintains monthly schedules for internal remote technologists using the organization's scheduling software and related operational systems.
  • Coordinates with remote operations leadership, technologists, imaging center staff, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate coverage across all supported locations and shifts.
  • Collects technologist availability and scheduling requests, follows up on late or incomplete submissions, and ensures schedules are finalized and distributed at least one month in advance.
  • Monitors daily staffing levels and responds promptly to unexpected changes, including sick calls, absences, increased volume, and same-day coverage needs.
  • Identifies available technologists and redistributes staffing as necessary to minimize operational disruptions and maintain adequate coverage.
  • Communicates scheduling assignments, changes, open shifts, and coverage updates to technologists and operational leaders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains an accurate technologist database, including contact information, availability, approved locations, equipment (OEM) competencies, shift preferences, time-off requests, and other scheduling requirements.
  • Reviews and processes vacation, paid time off, and schedule-change requests in accordance with organizational policies and staffing needs.
  • Assists in maintaining a fair and balanced distribution of shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, time off, and additional coverage opportunities among remote technologists.
  • Tracks attendance concerns, late arrivals, missed shifts, callouts, and recurring scheduling issues, escalating performance concerns to the appropriate operational leader.
  • Verifies that scheduled technologists have the appropriate training, credentials, system access, and equipment experience required for their assigned locations.
  • Maintains scheduling records and prepares reports related to staffing coverage, attendance, overtime, open shifts, callouts, and other operational trends.
  • Develops a strong understanding of the organization's scheduling platforms and works with internal technology teams or software vendors to resolve issues and remain current on system updates.
  • Uses Microsoft Excel and other operational tools to manage schedules, analyze staffing needs, and maintain accurate scheduling documentation.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve scheduling practices, staffing efficiency, communication, and overall remote operations workflows.
  • Performs other scheduling and operational support duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three years of related experience strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of PC software such as Microsoft Office's Word, PowerPoint, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Possesses and utilizes excellent customer service skills, strong public relations skills, and exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized, possess clerical skills, and can interact effectively with doctors, referring doctors and staff, patients, vendors, peers, and management.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and computer skills.
