Position Summary

Cooperstown All Star Village is seeking Friendly, self-motivated, positive supervisors. The Supervisor supports daily front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations by overseeing staff, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining smooth workflow throughout the shift. This role is responsible for coordinating employee schedules, managing POS systems, and training new and existing team members to meet operational and service standards.

The supervisor acts as a leadership presence on the floor, resolving guest concerns, monitoring service quality, and ensuring compliance with food safety, cash-handling, and company policies. This position plays a key role in fostering a positive team environment and supporting overall restaurant efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and adjust staff schedules to ensure proper coverage during peak and seasonal periods.

  • Oversee daily shift operations and support employees to maintain high service and cleanliness standards.

  • Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to team members on service procedures, POS operation, opening/closing duties, and safety guidelines.

  • Manage and troubleshoot POS systems, including menu updates, cash handling, and reporting.

  • Monitor guest satisfaction and address issues promptly and professionally.

  • Assist with inventory counts, restocking, and supply management.

  • Coordinate communication between frontofhouse and backofhouse teams to maintain efficient service flow.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

  • Support management with administrative duties and policy implementation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant, food service, or hospitality leadership roles (supervisor, shift lead, or similar).

  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, guest service standards, and food safety procedures.

  • Excellent communication, problemsolving, and conflictresolution abilities.

  • Ability to multitask and stay calm during highvolume or peak service periods.

Preferred

  • Proficiency with POS systems, including troubleshooting, reporting, and menu adjustments.

  • Ability to create, manage, and optimize staff schedules based on labor needs and business volume.

  • Skilled in training, coaching, and developing team members.

  • Basic understanding of inventory control, cash handling, and daily administrative tasks.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (ServSafe or similar certification is a plus).

  • Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering consistent guest experience.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 810 hours).

  • Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying items up to 2550 pounds.

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with shifting priorities.

  • Exposure to heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, and typical kitchen/restaurant noise levels.

  • Must be able to perform opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of service areas.

  • Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and fluctuating seasonal schedules as needed.

  • Ability to move between indoor and outdoor areas if working in a seasonal or multivenue operation.

  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, and POS equipment for extended periods.

  • May require occasional climbing of small step ladders or reaching high shelves.

  • Must maintain professional appearance and adhere to uniform or dress code standards.
