The Optum Desktop Support Technicians are responsible for supporting ProHealth Care in the form of providing timely and enthusiastic remote and onsite desktop support. Customer Service and Communication skills are a must and are critical to the success of this role. These technicians are expected to be able to work both independently and as part of a team and be able to adapt to new technologies within the ProHealth Care hospitals and clinics. Daily support duties include addressing level 1 incident and problem tickets as well as requests and tasks within ServiceNow. Technicians will be required to monitor the break/fix and task queues. Examples of daily support issues include hardware and software issues, network issues, fax, phone, scanning and printing issues. Examples of tasks include PC/phone/printer moves, new PC and phone setups, data jack patching, software installs and installing various peripherals.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of technical support experience
  • 1+ years of experience with the deployment, repair and maintenance of computer hardware such as workstations, laptops, IP phones, smartphones, tablets, printers, copiers, and scanners
  • 1+ years of experience with the deployment, repair and maintenance of software such as the Microsoft 365 Suite and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs., work in an environment of varying temperatures
  • Willing and able to work on call as per business needs
  • Candidate must be located in Pewaukee, WI area as this is an onsite role
  • Access to reliable transportation and valid US driver's license with the ability to navigate within buildings/units/floors and travel throughout the service delivery area

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with general networking, Server, Telecom and customer/server concepts
