University Physicians' Association is looking for a dedicated team member for an entry level full-time Billing Office Assistant.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis. It does not exclude other duties as assigned. This is an onsite, entry-level position with growth opportunities.

  1. Responsible for prepping, scanning, reconciling and quality checking of work performed during the full cycle document imaging process. This includes paper and electronic documents
  2. Operating scanning equipment and maintaining optimal performance of hardware.
  3. Implementing various scanning processes appropriate to meet the needs of the UPA
  4. Sorting and reviewing checks to mail to proper processing payment address (Lockbox)
  5. Matching remittances with claims for mailing
  6. Mail metering
  7. Using other printers and scanners for other department needs outside of our document imaging program

Requirements

High School education or equivalency.


REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  1. Familiarity with MS Office/Windows operating systems.
  2. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality.
  3. Effective communication skills.
  4. Ability to meet and exceed productivity standards.
  5. Moderate to Advanced knowledge of computers, computer programs, office equipment, and business office procedures.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.

Some lifting of boxes may be required up to 20 pounds.
