Position Overview:
The Scaffold laborer will install, repair, and/or remove insulation on piping, ductwork, industrial equipment, and other surfaces. They will also be required to assemble and dismantle tubular and system scaffolding or other temporary structures, installing ladders, walkways and handrails at sites using a variety of tools and lifts. They are responsible for cleaning and preparing sites, including removing debris and loading/unloading scaffolding material.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Installs and replaces scaffolding and insulation in buildings and mechanical systems.
  • Clears and disposes of old insulation according to established safety guidelines.
  • Loads and unloads insulation materials.
  • Measures and cut insulation to fit round pipes and equipment.
  • Fastens insulation in place with tape, screws, wire, or banding, as needed.
  • Employees are expected to bring necessary tools to jobsite.
  • Will be trained on how to cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to required dimensions.
  • Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
  • Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Training
  • Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10 hour within 60 days of starting at hth companies.
