The SBA Manager will be responsible for the growth, profitability, and management of the Bank’s Small Business Administration (SBA) loan portfolio. Work closely with our branch partners with originating and managing SBA loans throughout the application and underwriting process. Responsible with maintaining the integrity of the SBA loan origination process and be required to have a thorough understanding of SBA loan submission procedures.  Assure that quality service is provided to the internal and external customers, and will be focused on revenue growth, business model execution, sales performance, sound risk practices, and external and internal customer satisfaction. 


  • Supervise sales personnel including hiring, performance management, and performance evaluation
  • Responsible for quality control within the sales function and ensure that loan files are forwarded to operations with no material errors or missing documentation, and ensures that SBA loan submissions are within credit and SOP guidelines
  • Review the sales personnel’s’ SBA loan submissions for compliance with SBA and commercial loan underwriting and eligibility standards. Identify areas of weakness and provide training when necessary to eliminate inefficiencies and errors
  • Communicate effectively with sales personnel, credit, and operations personnel to ensure and meet monthly funding objectives. Research, collect, and disseminate procedural changes affecting SBA loan programs
  • Partner with our branch partners to focus on business development for marketing SBA loan programs to a select number of targeted small businesses, including developing strategies to originate SBA loans with select businesses within assigned markets
  • Provide leadership to existing branch partners and team members to meet sales goals and build revenues and profitability. Work closely with the credit and operations
  • Support and focus on building strong customer relationships and identify customers most suitable for our SBA loan products
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics preferred
  • 10+ years of Small Business Administration (SBA) 7a and 504 lending experience
  • 10+ years of business development and supervisory experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all team members to attain business goals
  • Experience in financial statement and cash flow analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of Small Business Administration (SBA) Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment when applicable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

The base pay range for this position is USD $140,000.00/Yr. - USD $240,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
