We're looking for a skilled and reliable Saw Operator to join our team and support our growing production demands.

Job Summary:

The Saw Operator is responsible for reading blueprints and cutting raw metal materials to the specified dimensions using band saws, cold saws, or other cutting equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring parts meet precise tolerances and are ready for the next stage of fabrication.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate manual and automated saws to cut metal stock accurately to size
  • Interpret work orders, blueprints, and cutting lists to determine cutting specifications
  • Measure and mark materials for cutting using tape measures, calipers, and squares
  • Ensure proper setup and calibration of equipment prior to cutting
  • Inspect cut parts for quality and accuracy; ensure tolerances are met
  • Perform routine maintenance on saw equipment and report issues
  • Organize and label raw material and cut parts
  • Maintain clean work areas
  • Follow all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE
  • Assist with material handling and inventory as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience operating band saws, cold saws, or similar cutting equipment preferred, Marvel saw experience a plus
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet throughout the shift
  • Comfortable operating overhead crane
  • Ability to read blueprints or cut lists is required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety guidelines
